Sprint Predictability — Privacy Policy

Effective November 3, 2026

Sprint Predictability is built to work entirely in your browser. This page explains exactly what data exists, where it goes, and who can see it.

What Sprint Predictability Stores

The only data the app holds is what you type in: team, ART and PI names, sprint numbers and dates, and the sprint figures (committed, completed, added, removed, carried in and out, velocity), with each sprint's status, whether its goal was met, and whether it is left out of the rolling average. It also holds any PI business value you record (planned, delivered and stretch — three numbers per team per PI) and the figures you type into the forecast (a velocity range, a backlog size, growth, and sprints expected to be lost). Your preferences are saved as well: the theme, which team, PI, sprint and view were open, which ARTs the ART picker is set to, the on/off choices for counting sprint 6 and sprints still running, which forecast options are switched on, whether the tab row is pinned, how each table is sorted, which cards you have folded away, and any RAG target you have moved off its default. Capacity adjustments add a percentage (how available a team will be for a sprint, or how a past sprint should be re-weighted for planning) and, where you record why, a code picked from a fixed list of options such as "annual leave or sickness". There is deliberately no free-text field anywhere: beyond those short names, only numbers, dates and those fixed codes are ever saved. (Earlier versions had optional sprint notes; the field was removed, and any notes in a previously saved copy are deleted the next time the app opens.) Text pasted from a Jira Sprint Report, or a spreadsheet of sprints being imported, is read for its figures on the spot and never stored; team and PI names in an import are only used to find ones that already exist. There is no account, profile, or usage tracking required to use the app.

Where That Data Lives

In your browser. That is the only place. Everything is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. There is no server, no database and no account — the app has nowhere to send your data even if it wanted to. Clearing the site's browser data deletes it.

A copy of the app itself, so it opens offline. The page, this privacy policy, its stylesheet, its chart library, its icons and its install manifest are kept on your device — the same public files anyone can read on GitHub, and nothing else. Your sprint figures are never put there. Clearing the site's browser data removes it along with everything else.

Share links (nothing is uploaded). A read-only share link carries the data inside the link itself, compressed into the part of the address that is never sent to any server. Creating or opening one involves no upload, no account, and nothing from the link is stored on the reader's device. Anyone who has the link can read what you chose to include, so treat the link like the data it contains — you pick which teams go in and how much history goes with them, and a link only ever carries names, numbers, dates and the fixed reason codes.

Google Sign-In and Sync Were Removed on August 20, 2026

Until that date the app offered an optional "Sign in to sync", which stored your sprint data in a Firebase/Firestore database operated by the developer and recorded your Google account's email address in Firebase Authentication. That feature is gone. The code, the sign-in button and every Google address were removed together, and the page's Content-Security-Policy now names no external origin at all — which is what makes this page's claims checkable rather than a promise. Any account id the old feature left in your browser is deleted the next time you open the app.

The data that had been stored there was deleted on the same day, so there is no copy of anyone's sprints left in that database.

To use the app on more than one device now, use Back Up to download a file and restore it on the other device.

What Sprint Predictability Does Not Do

The Jira Bookmark

Your Choices

You can edit or delete anything in the app at any time — Back Up → Start Again → Delete All Data removes every team, ART, PI and sprint along with the preferences saved beside them (the theme, the pinned tab row, how each table is sorted and which cards are folded are kept), and clearing the site's browser data removes all of it. That is the whole of it: there is no other copy to chase, and nothing left over from sync — those copies were deleted on August 20, 2026, along with the feature.
